Aunt Lenore’s Spaghetti Sauce

for the slow cooker
  • 1 large (29 oz.) can tomato
  • 1 large (12 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 large (12 oz) can water
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. marjoram leaves
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. sweet basil
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 onion
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 garlic cloves – crushed
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 lb. ground Italian sausage (hot)
  1. Brown meat with onion, celery and garlic.
  2. Add other ingredients and cooks on low for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. I use a slow cooker on low for 4-6 hrs. – Enjoy!
