Grandpa Len’s Marinated BBQ Salmon

  • 2 pounds salmon steaks, 3/4 inch thick
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • handful of crushed peanuts
  1. Combine all ingredients in shallow pan and marinate salmon steaks for at least 30 minutes.
  2. If broiling steaks, place on rack 6 inches from heat source. Broil 5 minutes. Baste with marinade, turn, broil 4-5 minutes more.
  3. If using outdoor grill, brush grill with oil so steaks don’t stick and broil 4 to 6 minutes per side, using marinade to baste.
  4. Sprinkle with crushed peanuts.
