for the slow cooker
- 1 pot roast (or round steak)
- A-1 Sauce
- 1 or 2 pkg. dry onion soup
- 1/2 to 1 cup water
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (optional)
- Rub A-1 sauce on both sides of beef. Put in roasting pan lined with foil.
- Sprinkle dry onion soup on top of beef. Add water around sides of beef.
- If you like, add 1 can cream of mushroom soup on top of that.
- Cover with foil and be sure to roll the top foil meeting the bottom foil and fold over together and seal.
- Bake at 400 degrees until tender.
- Open foil gently after 1 or 1-1/2 hours. Beef should be very tender about ready to fall apart when done.
