Grandma Rogers’ Snickerdoodles

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/ 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and eggs.
  4. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.
  5. Add flour mixture to the creamed butter mixture. Mix with spoon.
  6. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Then roll into walnut-size balls.
  7. Dip (the top of the ball) in cinnamon sugar.
  8. Cook 8-10 minutes until edges are light brown and top looks crumbly.
