- ½ c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1-1/2 c. mashed bananas
- 1-1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- ¼ c. cocoa powder
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add egg and vanilla, beating until well combined.
- Blend in bananas.
- Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
- Divide batter in half. Mix cocoa powder into half of batter. Spread the chocolate mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
- Spoon remaining batter on top and swirl with a knife. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool.
