- 1/3 C. butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 2/3 C. flour
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/3 C. water
- 1 2/3 C. sugar
- 1 C. pumpkin
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 C. chopped nuts (if desired)
- Cream the butter & sugar to light & fluffy.
- Add one egg at a time & beat thoroughly.
- Add pumpkin.
- Add dry ingredients 1/3 at a time & alternate with water & beat after each addition.
- Fold in nuts & bake in loaf pan 35 min. at 350 degrees.
