- 3 +lbs of corned beef brisket with seasoning packet
- 12 oz. can/bottle of beer. We have used all kinds, light, dark, ale, etc… seems to be good no matter what.
- 2 tbsp. yellow mustard (no need to measure)
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
Rinse corned beef under cold running water, and pat dry with paper towels. Place in crockpot and sprinkle contents of seasoning mix. Pour beer over the corned beef (don’t wash away all of the seasoning). Spread mustard on top ( I just squirt it around it on the top). In small bowl, mix sugar and water, then pour over the beef.
You can cook on low for 10-12 hours, or on high for 7. We always do high for 6.5 to 7 hours – so like 11 AM to 6 PM is usually perfect.
