1 pound ground beef ¾ cup chopped onion 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 can (16 oz.) tomato puree 2 cans (6 oz.) tomato paste 2 cups water 1 tablespoon parsley 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon pepper ½ teaspoon oregano leaves ½ package (16 oz.) lasagna noodles 1 pound ricotta cheese 8 ounces mozzarella cheese 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
Lightly brown the ground beef and onion in olive oil. Add tomato puree, tomato paste, water, garlic powder, parsley, oregano, salt, sugar, and pepper. Simmer uncovered. Cook lasagna noodles. Layer in tray as follows- Start with one cup of sauce. Then alternate layers of: noodles, sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and parmesan cheese. When finished, end with sauce on top. Bake 350 degrees 30-40 minutes.
